Visit the area of Moray with its long sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages, whisky distilleries and history.

This multi day tour will take you around the north east coastline of Scotland while also visiting some whisky distilleries and historical places en route as well.

The tour usually starts and finishes in Inverness but can be altered to other locations.

Day 1

The 1st day of the tour takes us south into the Cairngorms National Park and the area of Speyside where you will have the opportunity to visit a distillery such as Glenlivet, Grants or Glenfiddich. We will then visit the Speyside Cooperage to see the traditional way the whisky barrels are put together.

We will then visit the impressive Ballindalloch Castle and its gardens, still lived in today by the MacPherson-Grant family.

We end the day at the historic town of Elgin where you will stay overnight.

Day 2

Your 2nd day starts with a visit to the Dolphin centre at Spey Bay where you might be lucky enough to see dolphins in the Moray Firth.

We then follow the coastal road to the ancient village of Cullen and its fantastic beach, where you have the opportunity of taking a refreshing, scenic walk along the beach and some of the sea cliffs to the famous rock of the Bow Fiddle, before returning to the village to explore and have lunch.

We then follow the coastal trail with stops at the pretty villages of Portsoy, used in the filming of Whisky Galore, and then on to Pennan, filming location for Local Hero, for a quick visit and photos.

We then travel to explore the majestic 800 year old Fyvie Castle and Gardens before heading back to Elgin to stay overnight.

Day 3

Day 3 starts with a visit to the historic ruins of Elgin Cathedral, after which we head back into whisky country for either a tour or a tasting of our ‘water of life’ at a distillery of your choice in the area.

We then head to the pretty town of Forres to visit the Ancient Pictish Sueno’s Stone and then explore the town to have lunch.

We will then travel to the town of Nairn to have a long walk on the beach and work off your lunch.

After this you can have the choice of finishing your tour with tasting some more whisky or having a tour of our famous Culloden Battlefield where the Jacobites and Bonnie Prince Charlie lost to the British army and was the last battle on British soil.

We will then return to Inverness and your overnight accommodation.
